The Aflatoun Partners Platform is a collaborative digital hub designed to support Aflatoun’s global network of partners working in the fields of social and financial education for children and youth.
It offers access to educational resources, training materials, and program management tools, enabling partners to implement and scale Aflatoun’s curricula effectively.
The platform also facilitates communication, knowledge sharing, and monitoring to ensure alignment with Aflatoun’s mission and goals.
empowerU is an innovative digital programme for teenagers and young adults, offering self-paced digital courses to get the necessary knowledge and skills to make informed decisions about their finances and personal well-being.
We are working together in an ambitious initiative which will be crafting 80 digital learning modules for VISA, covering diverse topics such as: financial education, agriculture, entrepreneurship, global citizenship, and digital skills.
These self-paced modules feature accompanying guides for facilitators or teachers to facilitate face-to-face engagement with the beneficiaries.
Hosted on VISA’s learning platform, the modules will offer micro-certification and badges for completion.
The modules are available in English, Arabic, French, and Spanish.
In 2023, we joined forces with Koenig & Bauer to enhance the outreach of financial literacy. The partnership focused on the development of a digital learning platform accessible via physical banknotes.
These customised banknotes represent five financial themes, each unlocking content within the learning ecosystem.
The platform offers a variety of resources, including videos, infographics, educational games, toolkits, and assessments. The app and the banknotes were successfully launched during the Global Social and Financial Skills Conference in November 2023 in Utrecht, The Netherlands.
In 2020, together with Lynx Nigeria and United Bank of Africa (UBA) embarked on an initiative to build a future customers using creative platforms such as UBA Learn platform.
In this partnership, an adapted curricula for UBA Learn platform, structured as a reward system for students in primary/tertiary to encourage them to learn.
Adapt Aflateen plus curricula for 116 private schools in Nigeria.
The adapted resources included videos, infographics, and assessments.
Aflatoun developed a Digital Financial Literacy toolkit for UNCDF’s work on empowering migrants through the partnership with 8 Remittance Service Providers sending to Asia and Africa.
The toolkit is a guide to designing gender responsive digital financial literacy programmes for migrants and remittance recipients. It contains a library of resources including self-learning modules, online courses, and informational videos directed at migrant customers and remittance recipients that cover key DFL focus areas (compiled by the Royal Tropical Institute (KIT) and Butterfly Works).
In addition, an Implementation Guide was developed to serve as a manual for financial service providers to use the toolkit to develop bespoke financial literacy campaigns and programmes.
